The 28 hectares Singapore Zoo kept the animials in open enclosures. It is one of the best zoos in the world. It is divided into several zones to show animials in their natural habitats.

Sembawang

Sembawang Park
The park faces Johor Straits. It is next to the former Sembawang Naval Base built by the British. This is one of the few public parks with a natural sandy beach.
Sembawang Park Jetty
The jetty was built by the British and later completed by the Japanese during their occupation of Singapore.
Sembawang Park Beaulieu House
The house was built in 1910s by a family. During the construction of the Sembawang Naval Base on 1923, the house was used by senior engineers. When the naval base was in use, the hosue was used as residence for the British Senior Naval Officers.
Old Black and White Colonial Houses around Sembawang Park
There are many Old Black and White Colonial Houses around Sembawang Park. The roads around the park are named after British colonies.
